The private jet industry has been progressing rapidly in recent years as it continues to evolve and since many new operators are entering the industry the standards are also going high providing more facilitation while reducing cost at the same time. It is due to this fact that the trend of using private jet hire instead of a commercial airline is increasing as most of the business class prefer traveling by private jet because of its convenience, comfort, and time effectiveness. Time has always been a case of major concern for the elite and business community and this is why business organizations and multinationals use Private jet hire to facilitate their employees when they are made to travel for meetings, conferences, expansion plans, and seminars to other cities or countries. There is an impression about private jets that it only for the wealthiest which wrong, in recent days private jets has become the primary ride of the business class and has made the commercial airlines an alternative source because of its drawbacks like flight delays and boarding issues and a lot of time waste during security checks.

This is why corporations, multinationals, and other business organizations prefer traveling a private jet instead of commercial airlines.

These private jet service providers are available in almost all the metropolitan cities of the world especially cities that host big businesses and have progressive economies. Dubai is also among one of the cities that have a number of private jet service providers that provide transportation services to the business elite in Dubai. And since Dubai host the large number of the elite from all over the world, Dubai private jets are equipped with some of the most out class facilities providing all the luxuries of a comfortable flight to its clients.

Also the private jet service providers in Dubai make sure to follow all the security protocols and hire the experienced and best pilots available to make sure that passengers are in safe hands.

The private jet industry in Florida has also matured, as it excels in providing the best transportation services and this is why Private jets Florida are also considered among the best in the aviation industry. Private jet service providers provide all sorts of jet aircrafts and helicopters depending on the requirement of the client. Most of the business class in United States hires private jets Florida to make sure they get the best services and are escorted to their desired destination with ease and safety. These are facts due to which people especially the business class prefer private jets over commercial airlines as they are convenient, comfortable, and time saving compared to commercial airlines, where there are a number of disadvantages like flight delays, boarding and luggage issues and a lot of time waste following security protocols. Private jets have become an essential need of the modern day living not only business professional but for personal events and commitments of most of the people that have to travel frequently.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Spring is Coming and so are ...

ChildcleaningWhen I was a child, I remember my mother?s major spring cleaning projects. Everything was cleaned down to the inside and outside of every window, rug, and curtain. I admit when I was raising my eight children and grandchildren, I thought I was lucky just to keep everything tidy and in order, forget about the windows that no one saw because they were covered with curtains.

However, spring cleaning is necessary and not because our mother?s did it out of habit. With spring, often come allergies. If you have allergies or have children or grandchildren in your home with allergies, you probably already know the importance of clean air and a clean home, especially if there are pets in the home.

After a home has been mostly closed up throughout a cold winter, mold develops, dust and dust mites are settled in the carpets and rugs, crud from cooking coats the fan above the stove, and the air is stale. Often the air quality in our home is worse than outside. We might not be able to personally fix the world?s environment, but we can be in control of our home?s environment.

TIPS for Spring Cleaning (Be sure to enlist your grandchildrens help if they live with you.)

  1. Check for mold and moldy smells ? whether around the bathroom tub, under the rubber tub mat, in a basement, or anyplace where mold grows.
  2. Clean carpets or rugs. That is why I like hardwood floors. I have one Oriental rug in my living room.? Hardwood floors and tile are my favorite and easiest to keep clean.
  3. Clean the fan above the stove. Move the fridge and stove and clean behind them.
  4. Clean all humidifiers or dehumidifiers with bleach water. If you have air filters, clean them regularly. When you replace the filters, you get to see just how dirty the air in your home really is. Also, replace the filter to your furnace regularly.
  5. Wash your curtains and blinds. I look at my lace curtains that have blinds behind them, and I think they look okay. Then I soak them in the bathtub and realize how disgustingly dirty they really are.
  6. Vacuum furniture and mattresses.
  7. And check the tops of your ceiling fan blades. These are often missed because they are hard to get to.

I love walking into my home when it smells fresh and inviting, but feel less enthused when it smells like my dog or musty. Spring will soon be here, so now is the time to plan the spring cleaning. Your sinuses and your lungs will appreciate it. And of course, allow no smoking in your home. That is a definite killer.

So take care of yourself and your grandchildren by breathing clean air.

(AP) ? The German parliament approved a second, euro130 billion ($173 billion) loan package for Greece on Monday after Chancellor Angela Merkel warned lawmakers that it would be irresponsible to abandon the country to bankruptcy.

Although the motion was always expected to be easily approved ? the final tally Monday was 496-90 with five abstentions ? the idea of bailing out Greece has remained very unpopular in Germany, Europe's biggest economy, among the public and many politicians.

"The road that lies in front of Greece is long and truly not without risk," Merkel told lawmakers before the vote. "That also goes for the success of the new program ? no one can give a 100 percent guarantee of success."

Earlier Monday, the mass-circulation Bild daily, which has always taken a very hard line on Greece, plastered the word "STOP!" over its front page. Its message to lawmakers was: "Don't keep on going the wrong way."

Merkel, however, said it would be irresponsible to risk a Greek bankruptcy.

She acknowledged that some people ask "whether Greece isn't a bottomless pit, a hopeless case, whether it wouldn't be better for all if Greece reintroduced the drachma."

But she insisted that "the opportunities outweigh the risks of turning away from Greece now ? I believe these risks are incalculable and therefore irresponsible."

"As chancellor of Germany, I should and sometimes must take risks, but I cannot embark on adventures," Merkel said.

The rescue package is Greece's second in less than two years and also involves private-sector investors accepting total losses of more than 70 percent on the bonds they hold, along with tough new austerity measures.

Greece has been surviving since May 2010 on an initial euro110 billion ($148 billion) package of rescue loans from other eurozone countries and the International Monetary Fund.

But more than two years of harsh austerity implemented to secure the rescue funds have left the economy in freefall, with businesses closing in the tens of thousands and unemployment at a record high 21 percent in November.

It isn't yet clear exactly what Germany's share of the new bailout will be, and the IMF's input this time has yet to be determined. But Merkel said "it is indispensable for the German government that the IMF continue to make a significant contribution and provide its experience and expertise."

Several non-European members of the IMF, such as the U.S., are reluctant to boost the IMF's resources for troubled eurozone nations, saying the region's bailout funds should be increased in size first.

The need to strengthen the bailout funds was heightened on Monday, when ratings agency Standard & Poor's lowered its credit outlook for the current fund, the European Financial Stability Facility, to negative.

It had already downgraded the EFSF in January after key contributors France and Austria were stripped of their top ratings. But S&P noted Germany did not appear ready to make up for the fund's lost creditworthiness by offering it new support.

S&P said the EFSF's rating will therefore track those of France and Austria ? AA+ with a negative outlook.

A high credit rating is important for the bailout funds ? and the European governments paying into them ? because it makes it cheaper to raise money from investors.

The euro440 billion ($589 billion) EFSF will be succeeded by the permanent euro500 billion ($671 billion) European Stability Mechanism, or ESM, in July. Some experts have suggested that rather than boosting one or the other, the two funds' resources could be combined.

Merkel is nevertheless holding out against making a quick decision.

"The government currently sees no need for a debate on increasing the capacity" of the ESM and the existing interim bailout fund, she said Monday.

She underlined Germany's willingness to speed up its planned payments of capital into the ESM, saying Berlin could pay in the first half ? euro11 billion ($14.8 billion) ? this year and the rest next year.

German officials have been noncommittal on rolling the remnants of the EFSF into the ESM, pointing to an existing agreement to review the ESM's size by the end of March.

Merkel insisted that ending the crisis will be a gradual, step-by-step process that will "require years" to complete.

"It was always Germany and the German government that warned again and again the illusion of fast and simple solutions," she said. "We continue to warn against that."

Opposition Social Democrat Peer Steinbrueck shot back that "this strategy of buying time has failed because times have got worse."

Underlining unease in Merkel's center-right coalition, the weekly Der Spiegel on Sunday quoted Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich as arguing that Greece would have better chances of "regenerating and becoming more competitive" outside the 17-nation eurozone.

Friedrich said Monday he was backing the second bailout and insisted he had only been talking about "what alternatives there are if the possibility of making Greece competitive inside the euro were to fail."

But a lawmaker with Merkel's Christian Democrats who has rebelled in previous debt crisis votes was unapologetic about doing so again.

"I can't go along with this because I think it is economically wrong (and) it is the opposite of what we promised people when the euro was introduced," Klaus-Peter Willsch told Parliament.

Of the yes votes, 304 came from Merkel's coalition ? enough on Monday's turnout for a simple majority without opposition help.

Several coalition lawmakers were sick, while 17 voted against and 3 abstained. The yes votes fell short of a majority of all members, 311 ? a figure that would only formally have mattered in a confidence vote but opposition lawmakers have played up as a measure of the government's strength.

The parliaments of wealthy Finland and the Netherlands, where skepticism for bailouts also is high, are to debate the package this week. However, it isn't expected to face problems in either country.

(AP) ? WikiLeaks said Monday it was publishing a massive trove of leaked emails from the geopolitical analysis firm Stratfor, shedding light on the inner workings of the Texas-based think tank that bills itself as a leading provider of global intelligence to a range of clients.

The online anti-secrecy group said it had more than 5 million Stratfor emails and it was putting them out in collaboration with two dozen international media organizations.

The small selection so-far published to WikiLeaks' website gave a rare look at the daily routine at a private intel firm: One described a $6,000-a-month payment made to a Middle Eastern source, another carried bits of gossip dropped by a retired spook, and many were filled with off-color office banter.

An initial examination of the emails carried out by The Associated Press turned up a mix of the innocuous and embarrassing, but WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange promised more explosive material in the coming weeks.

"What we have discovered is a company that is a private intelligence Enron," Assange told London's Frontline Club, referring to the Texas energy giant whose spectacular bankruptcy turned it into a byword for corporate malfeasance.

Assange accused Stratfor of funneling money to informants through offshore tax havens, monitoring activist groups on behalf of major multinationals, and making investments based on its secret intelligence.

"Stratfor is simply out of control," he said.

Stratfor pushed back against the suggestion that there was anything improper in the way it dealt with its contacts.

"Stratfor has worked to build good sources in many countries around the world, as any publisher of global geopolitical analysis would do," the company said in a statement. "We have done so in a straightforward manner and we are committed to meeting the highest standards of professional conduct."

The Stratfor statement suggested the company wouldn't be commenting in any further detail on Assange's allegations.

"Having had our property stolen, we will not be victimized twice by submitting to questioning about them," the statement said.

How WikiLeaks got the company's emails remains unclear ? Assange refused to answer questions about the matter Monday ? but Stratfor said the messages appeared to be the same ones stolen by hackers over the Christmas holidays. The breach, claimed by the Internet activist group Anonymous, ravaged the company's servers and led to the disclosure of thousands of credit card numbers, among other information.

Several media groups, including Rolling Stone magazine and Germany's NDR broadcaster, say they have been offered advance access to the emails and that they will publish stories based on the documents if appropriate.

One journalist involved in the deal said that the documents were made available by WikiLeaks within the past month.

"They haven't told us anything about how they obtained them," the journalist said, speaking anonymously to discuss sourcing issues.

Austin, Texas-based Stratfor is a subscription-based publisher providing political, economic and military analysis to help customers reduce risk. It charges subscribers for its reports and analysis, delivered through the web, emails and videos.

The emails thus far posted to the Web are generally mundane ? dealing with training, staffing, budgets and administration. Others carry boasts about the company's reach. In one, Stratfor Vice President of Intelligence Fred Burton brags about his "trusted former CIA cronies." In another, he promises to "see what I can uncover" about a classified FBI investigation.

Messages left for Burton weren't immediately returned. Stratfor has speculated that some of the leaked emails may have been altered or forged, although the firm did not provide any evidence of tampering.

The hackers involved took to Twitter to reject the suggestion as "pathetic."

One Stratfor email warned about letting people know too much about how the company operated.

"I think showing too much of our inner workings devalues our Mystique," the email said. "People don't know how we collect our intelligence and that's one of the cool, mysterious things about STRATFOR."

Langley listed in top five cities in Canada for cybercrime

?

Langley is a hotbed for cybercrime, placing this town in the top five worst cities in Canada for potential attacks online, say Norton, anti-virus computer company.

A study by Norton and research firm Sperling's BestPlaces uncovered that residents of Langley like being online, usually via a wireless device, whether it be for checking Facebook, Tweeting, banking or online shopping.

For the second year, Norton and Sperling's BestPlaces listed Canada's top 10 cities that have the highest number of cybercrime risk factors.

Langley placed fourth, behind Port Coquitlam at the number two spot and Vancouver placing third. Burlington, ON, took first place.

Sperling's BestPlaces determined the per-capita rankings by examining several consumer behaviors - from the prevalence of PCs and smartphones, to social networking and accessing potentially unsecured Wi-Fi hotspots, among other factors.

According to the research, Langley, ranked above average across all categories.

"As we look at the top 10, we are looking at affluent cities where people are computing a lot," explains Lynn Hargrove, Symantec's director of consumer solutions. "Certainly criminals want to go where the money is. We are seeing an absolute increase in things like identity theft."

"We are seeing things like 'evil-twinning' networks," warns Hargrove. "Criminals will try to create a network very similar to the one you think you are attaching to. Make sure you attach to the right one."

One of the simplest ways to boost your online security is changing or improving your passwords.

For the second time, leading "riskiest" online city, Burlington, placed high in all four categories measuring cybercrime data per capita, including attempted malware infections, attempted web attacks, attempted spamming and attempted bots by city. Burlington also ranked high amongst internet use and expenditures.?Port Coquitlam scored at the top in the majority of the categories surveyed, including cybercrime data per capita. Both Port Coquitlam and Vancouver (which ranked third), reported high numbers of social networking use.?Residents of Victoria, which came in as Canada's 10th "riskiest" online city, ranked highest among Wi-Fi hotspots and Fredericton, which ranked sixth overall, had the highest use of social networking.

No. 2 - Port Coquitlam, BC

The 999999th Monkey: The Stephen King Post

When I was one-and-a-half years old, my family had dinner with Stephen King. ?The dinner happened at my grandparent's house in Eastport. ?Eastport is a port city in Downeast Maine. ?Though it is a port city, and has its own airport, the only reasonable way to access the city is by car. ?In order to drive to Eastport, you have to drive through?Pleasant Point. ?Pleasant Point is a part of the Passamaquoddy reservation. ?The most notable portion of this drive is a stretch of road with ocean on either side.

For reasons I'm not entirely certain, my father's side of the family was having dinner with Stephen King. ?I know that my aunt was involved somehow in the reason behind this meal. ?Stephen King is a wonderful philanthropist and my aunt worked for the harbor during this stretch of time. ?I suspect it was a dinner following Stephen King doing one of his many charitable contributions to the State of Maine. ?I don't know for certain. ?What I do know is that the dinner took place at my grandparent's house.

For as long as I have known my grandmother, she has always had strange, people-hating cats. ?At the time this story took place, her current cat had another particular trait; he loved to curl up in the backseat of parked cars. ?You see, while Eastport is technically?a city, it's only one in political structure. ?The actual population of the city resembled the size of a small town under normal definitions. ?There was little crime and everyone left car windows down and doors unlocked.

Stephen King came to dinner, met me and my family, and after socializing, climbed into his car to start the three hour drive drive home. ?As the story goes, Stephen King driving through Pleasant Point ?when my grandmother's cat, woke up, jumped into the front seat and raised a kind of hell only a person-hating cat could. The incident scared the crap out of Stephen King. ?He somehow dealt with the cat, turned around, and drove all the way back to my grandparents house. ?Once there, he somehow managed to wrangle the cat into his arms. ?He carried it over to the front door and politely returned him to my grandparents.

The conclusion to this story came later when Stephen King's Cujo?was published. ?In the book, the five-year old Tad has a strikingly similar description to two-year old me. ?Also the description of Donna was equally similar to my mother. ?When Stephen King later published On Writing, he admitted that during this period of his life, he was in a dark place and doesn't remember where he got the idea from for this book. ?In fact, he confesses only vaguely remembering writing parts of the book. ?As far as I'm concerned, this cat incident was at least part of the inspiration behind his book,?Cujo. ?

What You Should Know About Exposure and Mesothelioma Asbestos

Exposure to asbestos has proven to lead to many deadly diseases, the most common of which has been Mesothelioma, or mesothelioma asbestos. Asbestos exposure also has history with several non-cancerous respiratory diseases like such as asbestosis.

Asbestos has been used for protection from heat, fire, and as insulation for over two thousand years. It has been mined and used in manufacturing of goods and products since the late 1800?s. Up until the 1960s the use and exposure of workers, their families, and local communities to asbestos went pretty much unchecked by any safety regulations. As exposure to asbestos increased, the cases of lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis proportionately increased, impacting the lives of thousands of unknowing workers and family members primarily in the industrialized areas of the U.S., UK and Australia.

Asbestos fibers are used in industry because of their durability, resistance to heat and tensile strength. Asbestos has been used in building insulation in our public buildings and schools for generations. In our homes, appliances, and even clothing. The very reason that makes asbestos such a useful construction component and fire retardant however is the same characteristic that becomes humanly lethal. Asbestos fibers are very fine and tiny filaments that are so small that they can bypass the filtering systems in the human lungs. The inhalation of asbestos fibers in the dust is the primary cause of mesothelioma asbestos cancer. These fibers reach to the most sensitive parts of the lungs and get embedded within the lung tissue where they can lay dormant for as long as 50 years! As these fibers increase in numbers, or those already in the body can become an irritant to the lung tissue and slowly damage the lungs, heart or stomach protective tissue. Such conditions gone diagnosed can lead to mesothelioma, pleural mesothelioma or asbestosis.

Developed Mesothelioma Symptoms Once the cancerous cells have developed and begun to grow there are many different symptoms that can occur. Initially if the physician isn?t aware of asbestos exposure a wrong diagnosis is often made because the symptoms can also be attributed to other more simple illnesses.

Diagnosing Mesothelioma To diagnose mesothelioma a biopsy is performed to gather pathological information. The biopsy is usually the final step after physical examinations, x-rays, and CT scans. Before the biopsy or in order to perform the biopsy the doctor may use one of the following methods.

The symptoms of mesothelioma cancer vary according to location of the cancer. It may show a combination of symptoms as well. Pleura, affecting tumors, show symptoms as -wheezing, cough, and/or hoarseness, bloody sputum, anemia, fatigue, shortness of breath, pleural fusion (fluid surrounding the lung) and chest wall pain, or pain under the rib cage. Mesothelioma of the stomach or intestines often doesn?t show many symptoms until it reaches the latter stages, they include- mass in the abdomen, weight loss, abdominal pain and/or swelling, Ascites, bowel problems.

Curing Mesothelioma While there is no known cure for Mesothelioma there are many different treatments. As with most medical treatments at times the cure can seem worse than the disease. Whether a Mesothelioma patient is treated with radiation therapy, surgery, chemotherapy or a clinical trial treatment they face many side effects including pain, nausea, jaundice, weight and hair loss, weakness and an extensive period of recuperation. However all of this is worth it in the end when the patient beats the Mesothelioma and goes on to live a long and full life.

Laughter on the 23rd Floor ? The Navigator

A raspy voice boomed through the audience, welcoming them to and warning them of the entertainment and stipulations yet to come. ?A soft purple light shrouded the 50?s style office on the stage of the Ross Theater on Feb. 16 while Max Prince, played by junior Nick Boucher, spoke in his Brooklyn accent to an excited audience. The opening night of ?Laughter on the 23rd Floor? was full of life, energy and fate all tangled with the shoelaces of the broad spectrum of human emotions.

Clothes came off, tongues were loose and the characters rose and fell in the tidal waves of the blooming film industry of the 1950?s. Written by comedian Neil Simon, the world?s most successful playwright according to pbs.org, the play is a nostalgic look back on his experience as a screenwriter for a top rated comedy show, called the Show of Shows (called the Max Prince Show in the play), as it slipped from popularity.? So, let?s take it from the top.

In the opening scene, we are introduced to the narrator, the young Lucas Brickman who is the newest member on the writing staff of Max Prince and the audience?s insight to the unfurling drama of working on the 23rd?floor. ?He was clean-cut, bright-eyed and alone in the writing room, early and eager to prove himself during his ?trial run? as a comedy writer. He was initially presented as nervous but optimistic. His voice?was?shaky at first, but by the end of the act he found his confidence.

After Lucas enlightens the audience about the scene, Milt?enters, played by??junior Brian Trumble,?who brings all the energy and perspective of a man torn between two worlds and two women ??his mistress and his wife. He welcomes Lucas to the studio after getting his name wrong several times, and their Russian boss Val, played by sophomore Wayne Woodson, came in rather distraught. ?While Val was out on the town, their charmingly psychotic comedian employer, Max Prince, called after taking two ?grenade-sized? tranquilizers, washing them down with alcohol, and proceeded in to speak incomprehensibly to Val?s Peruvian maid.

Understandably, when Max fails to show up on time, Val is concerned. His brow furrows further when he receives word from Kenny, played by freshman Brandon Hoffman, a sort of boy genius in the comedic world, that Max called him as well the previous evening before Val, of course stating he had received another threatening letter at his personal address. With their last word of Max being that he had a loaded shotgun in his lap with a brain flooded with medicine and alcohol, the group grew anxious for Max?s arrival.

With the arrival of Brian, played by transfer student Jordan Smith, and Carol, played by senior Michele McGovern, the news becomes grimmer; Sen. McCarthy accused Gen. Marshall of being soft on communism.? In a room full of comedians, the mood didn?t stay dark for too long. Even with the much anticipated arrival of Max, the darkness had a difficult time hanging on between all the laughter.

Max?s first steadfast steps onto the stage led the audience into the verbally-violent battle between him and the corporate giants at NBC. With memos and crew socks up to their necks, NBC tightened its grasp around Max by demanding a cut in air time and less economical waste in his office. After a colorful conversation about NBC?s ?threatening letters,? Val confronted Max about his tranquilizer and alcohol problem.

Max retires to his office to take a call from NBC; then Ira enters the stage. A hypochondriac, Ira believes he is having a stroke, demands reactions from his fellow cast members who blatantly ignore him, and is greatly relieved when he only had gas. Carol might have killed him if Brian had not held her back, and soon Ira is faced with angry co-workers who felt he contributed nothing.

Max returns and rants about his call with NBC. After announcing the call had gone ?fine,? Max clarified to his crew that NBC was fine with what they decided ??to have an observer on the set and cut the budget and the airtime of the show ??but ?we [the show?s crew] are not so fine.? ?This announcement follows through to the rest of the act.

It is seven months later when Lucas is a contracted staff writer and Max has agreed to the terms NBC outlined, though no observer was mentioned. Lucas witnesses first hand one of Max?s tranquilizer episodes; the stressed comedian walked in the office half-comatose, fell asleep standing up, and ran into the door on his way out. When Milt arrives a little later in a white suit, Val tells him that Max has always hated white suits and also that someone from the staff would have to be fired.

By this point, Carol successfully got pregnant, and when everyone else arrived they began to work on the script. The weeks show was about Marvin Brando ?in his first completely memorized part? as Julius Caesar. Things seemed to be going well until the ?A Street Car Named Desire? joke came up during the read through and Max gave credit to Kenny when it was Ira?s joke.

Ira wanted his due credit, and the confrontation caused both men to become livid. People were shoved, men were fired and choked (specifically Ira), and the Stella joke was eaten. Max demanded that Ira spit the joke out, which Ira contended to if Max told him that he loved him. Ira eventually spits out the joke and is no longer fired. Eventually, Brian left for Hollywood so no one had to be fired.

The last scene took place at a Christmas party in 1953. At the party Helen, played by senior Janae Lafleur, Max?s secretary, confesses that she wanted to write comedy. Max?s announcement on the other hand was that they ?won against NBC?, that they were free. In other words, the show would be ending. ?I would have followed Max to the ends of the earth,? Lucas said. Unfortunately, the earth (the show) went off the air on June 1.

Overall, this play was masterfully presented.?The actors were highly energetic, the humor hit home, and the content was rich.

?It was hilarious,? said junior Michelle Gaza.

?They were very eccentric, the actors, and it was very funny,? said freshman Justin Keller.

On the closing night of the show the cast made valiant attempts to improvise the show despite a power outage. With lines like ?who forgot to pay the electric bill? and ?Damn you NBC,? the actors kept the audience laughing. When it became evident that the lights weren?t coming back, the audience was given a summary of the play and it was cut short.

In the end, the presentation of the play and the play itself on every night was ?really good and very funny,? said freshman Jessica Carson.

2raspy voice boomed through the audience, welcoming them to and warning them of the entertainment and stipulations yet to come. His brow furrows further when he receives word from Kenny (Freshman Brandon Hoffman), a sort of boy genius in the comedic world, that Max called him as well the previous evening (before Val, of course) stating he had received another threatening letter at his personal address. With their last word of Max was that he had a loaded shotgun in his lap and a brain flooded with medicine and alcohol, the group grew anxious for Max?s arrival.

With arrival of Brian (Transfer student Jordan Smith) and Carol (Senior Michele McGovern) the news becomes grimmer- Senator McCarthy accused General Marshall of being soft on communism.

After a colorful conversation about NBC?s ?threatening letters?, Val confronted Max about his tranquilizer and alcohol problem.

Max retires to his office to take a call from NBC then Ira enters the stage. A hypochondriac, Ira believes he is having a stroke, demands reactions from his fellow cast members (who blatantly ignore him), and he is greatly relieved when he only had gas. Carol might have killed him if Brian had not held her back and soon Ira is faced with angry co-workers who felt he contributed nothing.

Max returns and rants about his call with NBC. After announcing the call had gone ?fine?, Max clarified to his crew that NBC was fine with what they decided (to have an observer on the set, cut the budget, and the airtime of the show) but ?we [the show?s crew] is not so fine.? This announcement follows through to the rest of the act.

It is seven months later, Lucas is a contracted staff writer and Max agreed to the terms NBC outlined, though no observer was mentioned. Lucas witnesses first hand one of max?s tranquilizer episodes- the stressed comedian walked in the office half-comatose, fell asleep standing up, and ran into the door on his way out. When Milt arrives a little later in a white suit, Val tells him Max has always hated white suits and also someone from the staff would have to be fired.

By this point, Carol successfully got pregnant and when everyone else arrived, they began to work on the script. The weeks show was about Marvin Brando ?in his first completely memorized part? as Julius Caesar. Things seemed to be going well until the A street Car Named Desire joke came up during the read through and Max gave credit to Kenny when it was Ira?s joke.

Ira wanted his due credit and the confrontation caused both men to become livid- people we shoved, men were fired and choked [specifically Ira], and the Stella joke was eaten. Max demanded that Ira spit the joke out which Ira contended to if Max told him that he loved him. Ira eventually spits out the joke and is no longer fired. Eventually, Brian left for Hollywood so no one had to be fired.

The last scene took place at a Christmas party in 1963. At the party Helen (Senior Janae Lafleur), Max?s secretary, confesses that she wanted to write comedy. Max?s announcement on the other hand was that they ?won against NBC? that they were free. In other words, the show would be ending. ?I would have followed Max to the ends of the earth? Lucas said. Unfortunately, the earth [the show] went off the air on June 1st.

Run the weeks show Julius ceaser and mallin brando. They make a street car named desire joke Stella- max give credit to Kenny but ira wants credit for the joke he wrote, gets fired says he;s taking stella, max chokes him on table says he?ll ive it back if he says he loves him ira rips joke out of script put it back ira proceeds to put it in his mouth it?s a funny joke but it tastes like shit, everyone laughs nervously joke I love you ua shmuck why don?t you love me max chokes for the 2nd time spits out not fired anymore finishes script the Christmas have Christmas party Helen confesses to milt, Brian comes back to visit from Hollywood max announces that they won freedom they?ll wait but show would be ending. Max exits- says he was noble there will never be another max prince slowly leaves lucus tells I?d folled max to the end of the earth but the earth went off the air Jun. 1 1954.

Overall, this play was masterfully presented. ?It was hilarious,? said junior Michelle Gaz. The actors were highly energetic, the humor hit home, and the content was rich.

?They were very eccentric, the actors, and it was very funny? said freshman Justin Keller.

On the closing night of the show the cast made valiant attempts to improvise the show despite a power outage. With lines like ?who forgot to pay the electric bill? and ?Damn you NBC?, the actors kept the audience laughing. When it became evident that the lights weren?t coming back, the audience was given a summary of the play and it was cut short.

In the end, the presentation of the play and the play itself on every night was ?Really good and very funny,? said freshman Jessica Carson.
