Job Title: Client Services and Marketing Associate

Firm Overview:? Harrison Street Real Estate Capital is a leading real estate investment management firm offering investment products across both private and public real estate segments.? Currently, the firm manages approximately $3.5 billion in property assets and public securities products through multiple investment vehicles on behalf of U.S. and European Pension Funds, Endowments, Insurance Companies, Foundations and Family Offices.

Job Description:??Support the Client Services Marketing team across the firm?s three product lines including: (1) closed-end opportunity fund series; (2) open-end core fund; and (4) Harrison Street Securities, the firm?s REIT securities platform.? Specific duties will include:

Investor Relations:

  • Manage Investor Database, Pipeline and Investor Web Portal for existing investors.?
  • Track and ensure consistent communications with all investors.?
  • Coordinate timely and appropriate responses to investor inquiries.
  • Liaison with the other functions of the firm including acquisitions, asset management and accounting.
  • Responsible for preparing, updating and monitoring all company marketing material including:
    • Pitch Books
    • Flash Reports
    • Annual Meeting Material
    • Semi Annual Webinars
    • Quarterly Benchmarking/Track record
  • Work with Firm?s 3rd party marketing vendors and consultants.
  • Monitor peer group including competitive funds and offerings.
  • Maintain fund level performance information and benchmarking material.

Marketing Fundraising:

  • Maintain database of prospective investors and consultants both foreign and domestic.
  • Ensure regular communication (at least quarterly) by Marketing Team with identified prospective investors including calls, meetings, HSRE publications, etc.
  • Review and monitor all industry publications to identify trends, searches and prospective investors.?
  • Initiate and organize weekly marketing meetings regarding fundraising and provide updates to senior management.
  • Participate in industry conferences and events.
  • Responsible for responding to new business proposals (RFPs) and other information requests from consultants and ?prospective investors:
    • Coordinate the involvement of other business units including acquisitions, asset management and accounting when necessary.?
  • Responsible for maintaining databases of prospective investors and consultants that require regular updating.

Based on performance, demonstrated success and growth of the Client Services Marketing Team, this person will have the ability to advance within the team to take on additional responsibilities including direct investor and consultant relationships.

Background Required

?

  • 2+ years of applicable experience, preferably in client services and marketing capacity with a real estate or other institutional investment manager, but also could be working in an acquisition capacity or for a third party capital raising or consulting firm;
  • Bachelor?s degree;
  • Strong writing skills are essential;
  • Core knowledge of real estate investment principles, finance and accounting;
  • Strong verbal and communication skills;
  • Strong initiative, persistence;
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage deadlines.
