SkiUp business networking at Sunapee March 16 | Escape Outside ...

Businesses interested in a bit of networking and skiing to benefit the New England Handicapped Sports Association should sign up for the Fourth Annual SkiUp Day at Mount Sunapee.

It is set for Saturday, March 16.

Bring your pickup, sun chairs, and snowboards and skis for the day, which is the day before St. Patrick's Day.But don't bother with packing lunch. There will be lots of free food.

Dan O'Halloran of New London's Colby Real Estate is the organizer of this networking event, which drew 220 last year for a day of outdoor skiing and tailgating fun with lots of food, music, giveaways and prizes.

"And the best part is that it is a fundraiser for NEHSA," O'Halloran noted.

The cost is $55 including skiing, all you can eat from local restaurants and food providers. It's $6 if you already have a season pass.

O'Halloran, who is a ski coach on weekends and competes in the local ski race league, said he has about 17 other local businesses who provide the core group to pull off the fundraiser.

"It grows every year," he said.

To sign up, go to nhskiup.com.

The first to sign up even get a T-shirt out of it. So bring your sun screen and look forward to a day of corn snow.
